Questions
What is Inko?
Inko is a daily emoji check-in app for families. Every day, you send your family up to three emojis to say you're ok. If someone misses their check-in, the other person gets a notification.
How is Inko different from Demumu?
Demumu asks you to confirm you're alive every 48 hours. Inko flips that around. Instead of a safety check, you send emojis and build streaks. It feels like a daily ritual, not a wellness check. Same safety net, different vibe.
Is Inko free?
Yes. Inko is free with one contact included. If you want to add more contacts and get more emojis, there's a one-time premium purchase for $1.99. No subscriptions.
What happens when someone misses their daily emoji?
You get a push notification saying they haven't checked in. That's the signal to reach out and make sure they're ok.
Is Inko available on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Inko App is on the App Store for iPhone and Inko is on Google Play for Android. Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Swedish.
What if I'm on holiday and can't check in?
Just toggle vacation mode in settings. Your streaks stay intact and no one in your circle gets a missed check-in notification. Turn it off when you're back.
Why is it called Inko?
I built Inko for my parents, Inger and Koji. The name comes from the first two letters of each of their names. It started as a small project for my family and grew from there.
